Who we are

Ontario Pension Board (OPB) is the administrator of the Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP), a major defined- benefit pension plan sponsored by the Government of Ontario. Our membership base is made up of certain employees of the provincial government and our agencies, boards and commissions.

With $31 billion in assets and over 90,000 active, former, and retired members, the PSPP is one of the largest and oldest pension plans in Canada.

Update on hiring protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At OPB, the health, safety and wellness of our employees, clients, vendors and stakeholders is our top priority. In accordance with the advice of applicable public health authorities, we have transitioned to work-from-home to mitigate the risk of the potential spread of COVID-19.

As a result, we have also adjusted our recruitment practices to include virtual interviews and online assessments of candidates. New employees will participate in a virtual onboarding process and will be equipped to work from home until we determine, based on the available public health advice and guidance, a return to our downtown Toronto workplace.
