Availability of post-retirement insured benefits optional upgrade packages

As announced by the Government of Ontario late last year, retired PSPP members and survivors who qualify for post-retirement insured benefits will be eligible to enrol in an additional optional upgrade package for coverage starting in August 2017.

Additional information about these optional upgrades, their cost, and how to apply for them will be sent to eligible retired members and survivors at the end of June 2017. Eligible retirees and survivors in the PSPP may apply for coverage beginning August 1, 2017. For applications received after August 1, 2017, coverage will begin the month after OPB receives the completed application.
