Bert Clark has been named CEO of Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO). IMCO is the new corporation that will manage the investment portfolios of OPB, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and potentially of other broader public sector entities. Mr. Clark, currently President and CEO of Infrastructure Ontario (IO), assumes his new responsibilities October 17.

"This is another important milestone in the implementation of asset pooling," said OPB President & CEO, Mark Fuller. IMCO is expected to commence operations in the first half of 2017. "Bert's impressive experience makes him a unique match for IMCO's needs," said Fuller.

Mr. Clark practiced securities law at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt and served for four years as the Managing Director of Scotia Capital's Global Infrastructure Finance Group. Before becoming President and CEO at IO in 2012, he was Senior Vice President of projects there. He helped create Ontario's first long-term infrastructure investment plan including the creation and launch of IO.

"Bert's strong track record of launching new organizations and building strong, cohesive teams will serve IMCO, OPB and WSIB very well," said Fuller.
